Heartlands Academy has a dedicated print shop that specialises in the production of educational resources and promotional material. There is a team of four staff, who between them, have a wealth of skills and experience from backgrounds such as commercial and educational print, photography, and art & design.

Due to our success we are now delighted to offer our services to other educational and non-commercial organisations at very competitive rates.

We are non-profit driven and all monies received (after costs have been recovered) go back to the academy, to further improve the provision for our students. As an Ofsted Outsanding academy, we strive to deliver the very best for our students and the local community.

Our focus is on education and that means we have a good understanding of your requirements. This enables us to produce resources tailored to your needs. By taking your budget into consideration, we can advise on the most cost effective methods of production.

Design

Our team can work with you to design any kind of document or poster. Using a full compliment of Adobe Creative Suite, we create something to your own design specifications in line with your house design, colour scheme and logo. If you’re not sure how you want something to look, we can professionally create a bespoke design for you.

We will provide you with a digital proof and a second high-resolution copy for future use.

Using our full compliment of digital print equipment, we are able to offer you a range of print solutions.

High Volume Black and White Printing

A cost effective method of producing classroom resources such as revision aids, coursework and homework booklets. Any document of 80 pages or less can be made into a booklet (folded with two staples) or, alternatively, we have plastic comb and wire binding facilities for larger or more professional documents. There are many options, including colour paper, colour/card covers and colour printed covers.

High quality colour printing

Professional colour printing at our competitive rates can provide an excellent solution for a range of printed material. From flyers and posters to glossy prospectuses, there are a range of possibilities.

Large format printing

Our poster service is ideal for livening up your corridors or for eye-catching classroom displays.

We produce high quality prints onto a range of different materials up to a maximum size of 84cm x 119cm. You can supply your finished design, or design idea if you want a custom display, and we will reproduce it to your required size.

Do you have ceiling tiles in your classrooms or office? We can print and mount any suitable image onto vinyl to liven up your ceilings.

Photography

Promotional

Good photography is an essential requirement for a professional finish on both your promotional material and your website. Our photographer can visit your school to take pictures of your facilities and/or events and activities and supply you with high-resolution digital files that you can keep for future use. We can also produce high-quality digital prints if you require.

Portraits

One of our most popular services is pupil portraits. Many organisations now require photos of staff and students for their management information systems and ID badges. We can not only supply files in the required format for your system (SIMS/CMIS), but also provide a framed print service at a very competitive rate. This potentially allows you to sell framed print packs to parents at a profitable rate.
